Welcome to DIVERGENT CHURCH CANBERRA | QUEANBEYAN

Divergent Church Canberra (formerly LifeCity Church Canberra) is passionate about being a local expression of Jesus' kingdom. It is a different kingdom, not one of this world or its practices and principles. Jesus' kingdom is divergent, it is a kingdom where hate is overcome by love, where truth stands out from falsehood, where faith replaces fear. It is not a kingdom that can be experienced simply within the confines of a Sunday event but something seen in the people of God expressing the character of God in to every day life.

At DIVERGENT CHURCH Canberra Queanbeyan we believe Church is not simply an event you attend but a community of people living out the life of Christ, for his cause, acting as catalysts to bless a world that does not know Jesus.

Whether you're single, a couple, have kids or are new to Canberra/Australia (there are over 40 nations at DIVERGENT CHURCH). Whether you've 'done the church thing' or you have no idea what following Jesus is about, DIVERGENT CHURCH is a great place to explore the amazing message of Jesus.

DIVERGENT CHURCH has four different local churches in Canberra and Queanbeyan on Sundays as well as Life Communities across the region including Goulburn. For more info check out 'I am new'.

//ONE GATHERINGS

Every six weeks DIVERGENT CHURCH gatherings unite together on Sunday morning. These will be advertised on both our Facebook and Instagram pages in advance. On this Sunday there are no individual gatherings as we all combine as ONE.

📖 1st: We will be meeting in our usual gatherings across Canberra and Queanbeyan

🎉 8th: Celebration Sunday - our final week of local gatherings until February

🎶 15th: We will be meeting at Glebe Park Stage at 10:30am for a carols service, followed by games, jumping castle and food

🎄 22nd: We will meet at the Upper Room (2 Akuna street) for our //ONE Christmas Service

🏠 25th: We don’t host a Christmas Day service but encourage you to invite others in to your home! If you would like to host an open house meal or would like to find one to go to, please chat with your Gathering or Lifecom leaders

✨ 29th: There will be no services on this day

Tomorrow is 'Engage Sunday'!

Here at Divergent Church, we like to shake things up and to actively 'be' the church. This week we will be inviting people into our homes to share a meal "at the table" 🍽️

We will therefore have no local gatherings in Canberra or Queanbeyan this Sunday.

Reach out to your Lifecom or Gathering Leaders if you aren't sure what Engage could look like for you. Don't forget to partner with your church family where possible!

Next week is 'Celebration Sunday' where we will meet back in our local gatherings to share all the great stories that take place.
