Divergent Church Canberra & Queanbeyan
Divergent Church Canberra and Divergent Church Queanbyean are christian churches passionate about being a local expression of Jesus' kingdom. It is a different kingdom, not one of this world or its practices and principles. Jesus' kingdom is divergent, it is a kingdom where hate is overcome by love, where truth stands out from falsehood, where faith replaces fear. It is not a kingdom that can be experienced simply within the confines of a Sunday event but something seen in the people of God expressing the character of God in to every day life.
At Divergent Church Canberra and Queanbeyan we believe Church is not simply an event you attend but a community of people living out the life of Christ, for his cause, acting as catalysts to bless a world that does not know Jesus.
Whether you're single, a couple, have kids or are new to Canberra/Australia. Whether you've 'done the church thing' or you have no idea what following Jesus is about, Divergent Church Canberra and Queanbeyan are great community to explore the amazing message of Jesus.
When and Where are Divergent Church Canberra and Queanbeyan gatherings?
Divergent Church Canberra has four different local churches in Canberra and Queanbeyan on Sundays as well as Life Communities across the region including Goulburn. For more info check out 'I am new'.

Every six weeks Divergent Church Canberra, Divergent Church Queanbeyan gather as ONE.

OUR MISSION
"All in Disciples devoted to his Kingdom come"
Our focus at Divergent Church Canberra is not on providing numerous consumer-driven programs nor competing against the entertainment industry. Our pursuit is to help people become disciples who reflect Christ and dedicate themselves completely to His Kingdom.
All too often we get distracted by alot of the 'things' that come at us in life, driven by expectations of culture of simply self.
However, Jesus' last command, our first priority, it is make disciples.

OUR SHAPE
Divergent Church Canberra and Queanbeyan is...
“ONE Church, expressing ourself in community and mission in multiplying community based and focused churches”
The basis for our church doctrine (ecclesiology) comes from the biblical and historical practice of multiple local communities gathering consistently to create a unified Church within a specific city or region instead of depending on a single-cell model for local churches. God perceives a single Church in the Canberra region that exists beyond denominational divisions.

OUR BELIEFS
At Divergent Church Canberra we are passionate about the word of God, and the Spirit who inspired us.
It is through the written word, and through the leading, guidance and gifts of the Spirit that his will is seen expressed in our lives.
At times Churches can 'position' themselves as 'word Churches' or 'Spirit Churches' or the like but we must always come back to the reality that the Spirit should lead us into his inspired word and his inspired word should lead us into the vibrancy and adventure of following Jesus in every day life.
