Are you Hillsong Church Canberra?

At times we receive questions about our affiliation, and naturally our beliefs. One that arises time to time is "Are you Hillsong Church Canberra?" I guess we have ranked fairly high on that term for some reason but the short answer is no, we are Divergent Church. We respect what God has done across the body of Christ, including Hillsong but we are us. At this point there is no Hillsong Church in Canberra. More specifically, Divergent Church is a family of Churches that started in Canberra after Josh and Ange were sent from Snowy Monaro Assembly of God in Cooma to plant in Canberra. We now have church communities across a number of cities, towns and now nations that remain in close relationship as family. Our Church is lead by a team of Elders that oversight things locally, regionally and globally. From a wider affiliation position, we are part of the Australian Christian Churches movement.
